LOVELAND HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS

Treble Choir at Loveland High School consists of treble range voices. This is a non-audition group, and is open to all students. These students perform choral literature in varied styles through various eras of music history. These students are in the developing stages of discovering their vocal instrument and strive to demonstrate proper diction, vocal production, breathing, posture, rhythmic accuracy, and intonation.

 

Tenor/Bass Choir singers perform literature written specifically for tenor/bass voices, performing literature from all style periods and from all styles. This is a non-audition group, and is open to all students. These students are in the developing stages of discovering their vocal instrument and strive to demonstrate proper diction, vocal production, breathing, posture, rhythmic accuracy, and intonation.

 

Mixed Choir is an auditioned choir made up of 40+ singers. These students perform an intermediate level of choral literature through various musical history eras, demonstrating knowledge of multiple styles, foreign languages, and sightreading. These singers strive to demonstrate proper vocal technique while performing at high levels and bringing their music to life. 

 

Bella Voce (Advanced Treble Choir) expectations are at the highest level of commitment and dedication. This choir is comprised of some of the highest level treble singers at LHS. They perform a spectrum of music from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and the 20th century periods. As an elite female choir, they perform at various vocal competition and conferences, demonstrating their knowledge of music literacy, vocal production, and history of women's choirs. 


Chamber Singers is an elite ensemble for 10th-12th graders, consisting of 20 to 26 of Loveland High's best vocalists. Through their high-level performance, this choir produces music from varying genres of music, giving a historically tighter and more complex sound of that of a chamber group. This group will perform in multiple choral competitions and festivals, showcasing dozens of works in various styles from Renaissance to Contemporary 21st Century literature. These students have the most experience and read music at the highest artistic level.

 

Jazz Choir is an auditioned ensemble for 10th-12th graders as an addition to their core ensembles. This groups consist of 12-16 members, and performs standards through the history of jazz, all the way up to contemporary vocal jazz charts. These students perform at the UNC Vocal Jazz Festival and other community performances.
